What you'll do

Schedule patient appointments and send confirmations or reminders by phone, text, or email
Verify insurance coverage and handle prior authorizations before appointments
Manage electronic health records and patient records, keeping data accurate and current
Handle medical billing, insurance claims, and coding-related data entry
Respond to patient inquiries and manage front-desk or intake communications
Support telehealth scheduling and follow-up as directed by the provider

What we're looking for

Familiarity with HIPAA and secure handling of protected health information
Working knowledge of EHR systems and medical billing software
Understanding of medical terminology
High attention to detail given the low error tolerance in healthcare settings
Prior healthcare or medical-office experience preferred
