What we collect

When you apply as a VA candidate, we collect the information you provide in the application form: your name, email, phone, location, role interest, experience, skills, availability, resume, and optionally a photo and portfolio link.

Sensitive personal information (religion)

The application form includes an optional question about your religious affiliation. Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), religion is classified as sensitive personal information, so we only collect and store it if you separately and explicitly consent to sharing it, in addition to your general consent to this policy. We use it solely to help match you with clients for whom shared faith is relevant to fit. You may leave this field blank or select "Prefer not to say" with no effect on your application.

Sharing your portfolio with prospective clients

If you submit a portfolio or work-samples link, we may show it to prospective Advocata clients as part of the hiring/matching process. This is a distinct purpose from simply reviewing your application, so if you provide a portfolio link, the form asks you to give separate, explicit consent to this specific use, and to confirm you have the right to share the materials you're submitting (for example, that they weren't produced under a confidentiality obligation to a previous employer or client). If you'd rather not have your work samples shown to prospective clients, you can leave the portfolio field blank.

Why we collect it

We use this information solely to evaluate you as a candidate for VA roles with Advocata and its clients, and to contact you about your application. Applying adds you to our talent pool for future opportunities; it does not guarantee an interview or placement.

How long we keep it

We retain candidate application data for as long as it's relevant to active or future hiring — typically no longer than needed for that purpose.

Your rights

Under the Philippines' Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@tryadvocata.com.
